Uh, I didn’t realize we were Romper Room too. And I have to ask, who here is the circus leader? Do you really need to provide substantial proof of something when you’ve already shot the argument against it full of holes?

I won’t call any names but I questioned someone about buying a Fine Tune radio. What kind of business man only does business through Facebook, motherloving Facebook, seriously? No website, no direct sales, nothing but the biggest gloryhole of social media. Hmm. And I’d buy one just to see if it lives up to the hype, to see if a Fine Tune radio is really “fine tuned”. I haven’t seen proof of it by watching countless hours of “pay attention” videos so I guess my next move was to plunk down my hard earned dollars to prove or debunk the myth.

The offer stands - I’ll drop my money on a Stryker 955 but I’m not doing it by joining FB. Sell me one and prove to me what a Fine Tune is...

The group of guys here that can and will “put up” without having to “shut up” are certainly far from any Romper Room or circus sideshow. The guys here can and have proven Hard Drive’s claims to be false and misleading. It’s documented on this forum where some of his “fine tuning” was requested to be proven and it’s never been, most likely won’t be either.

So the easiest way to prove it is for HD to pony up a 955 to me for some greenbacks. I’ll take the risk, it’ll be worth the reward. And if it’s not to my liking, I’ve got a circus bench here I can fix it on.

I may not know alot about electronics but mark19960 and Mike's radio repair will leave Mark Sherman to shame with all the knowledge these guys know, so Mr Sherman needs a reality check.

I have heard and talked to fine tune a couple of times on sideband and hear him on AM as well. His radios do sound good. HOWEVER there seems to be something fishy about a shop that does his business only by facebook. And don't ask any questions or he will block you. Screw that I will stick to a legitimate shop. I hope he will take your challenge. But I'm guessing he will not.

Well it’s easy to smack talk when you :

A) never show your face

B) never step forward to defend yourself

C) never step forward to defend your claims

D) never step forward and PROVE your claims

E) send someone else to defend you

F) post videos showing nothing but a sideways camera shot that doesn’t really “show” anything.

And I’ll stop at F for epic FAIL.

He doesn’t have to break his precious rule and sell to me outside of and off Facebook, all he has to do is man up and prove all this crap he’s posting. Stop telling me to pay attention and do it himself and see he’s not proving or showing anything. Then show it. Then prove it.

There’s only so many ways to tune one of these radios in question. And it’s not like we’re talking about the Mercedes Benz of radios or something, they’re not true HAM radios of high quality.

I could take a Chevette and cram enough nitrous in it to choke a dinosaur but did I just tune that car? Did I just make a breakthrough discovery that no man before me could figure out about that car? Does that give me the right (and make me right) to say that every single other man on the planet doesn’t know jackshit and I’m a certified master mechanic god? No.

I’ll openly say this, from when I was younger, I cut my teeth trolling with the best of the trolls from 4chan. And you’re right Andy, it’s a game of trolling. But I’m up for the fun and games most any day of the week.

It’s when things like the Romper Room and circus comments about the guys here that crosses the line. There’s quite a few really smart guys on this forum, you’re one Andy, that’s probably forgot more than Sherman will discover in his entire career. There’s techs here, shop owners, hobbyist and the like, smart enough guys that see through all the pay attention bull.

If you kept spouting off about something and claiming how great it is, sooner or later you’ll need to prove it. And supposedly he’s the greatest tech in the land and he’s the absolute only one who can “fine tune” a receiver. I want to see it and witness it firsthand, I don’t believe the hype.

More so than any of that other crap, I want him to show me just how dumb everybody here is. Because everybody here has trolled him even harder and blown his crap full of holes in every thread ever posted on the subject of a fine tune.
