Have a nice looking and 100% working Dave Made Variable Base Box. (1) 2290 driving (2) 2879's. Variable Control for deadkey. SSB/AM and Standby and ON/OFF Switches. NO preamp. Two large fans in Top and extra smaller fan inside blowing directly across heat sink of the RF Deck. LOW DRIVE so 4 watts dead-key in MAX. Accepts 40~50 watt swing so works really well with a Medium Power mobile. I have been using a Galaxy DX94HP set at 3 watt key swings 50 and this delivers easy 450 watts on peaks. Works great with Variable set to 50~75 watts dead-key and just let'er swing up from there. 3 LED indicator lights, one above each switch, all work. Everything works as should. A little paint missing from front lettering but cabinet otherwise is great. No dents or dings.
It is in a LARGE oversize cabinet. I think Dave uses this one large cabinet for all his amps to keep his stock simpler. So when you look inside you'll go geesh... this could have all been in a smaller box... but it is what it is. Can provide more pics on request.
