Diamond cp22e swr

Any good ideas on adjusting swr on a diamond cp22e? Supposedly pre adjusted. 2.8 on 148, 146 was like 1.7. Not good. Change ground plane angle? Trim off the top? Trim the bottom?

Antenna is too long.
Isn't it mentioned in cutting chart how to trim it?

Nope it's a stacked verticle so I was leery about which end of the coupler to trim

You trim both elements.

I saw that chart. Didnt make much sense out of it. So what do you do, quarter inch off top quarter off bottom?

If your desired frequency is 148MHz:
L1 - circa 1128mm
L2 - 1265mm

Alright update. Only had to trim the top element to 46 inches. Thought it came out ok. Now, I still have a 1/4 wave hooked up and it's tip is the same height of the diamond. 1/4 wave ex signal is way less that of the diamond on the same local station. 4 1/4 wave vs 11 on the diamond. So far I'd recommend it
