ok, here goes, brother in law calls me this morning and wants me to go to a cb shop at the local truck stop, so we drive from pa to w.v and visit the shop, brother in law has a cobra 29 that the guy says he can peak and tune for $ 15.00
so he puts in on a meter and shows us the radio is at 5 watts when he transmits, then he takes the cover off, cust a wire, turns a screw and keys up, now the meter says 24 watts on the transmit, now i have no clue what he did, only what i seen.
i am wondering, can you really get that much power from just doing what he did, or did he just fool us with readings on the meter like a true magician????
