Dunno about limbo, sounds like some kinda line dance to me; but yes I believe in ghosts. Got one heck of a true ghost story of my own!
Delivered a load of 'slurry' concrete to cap off an old well-head in the Red Desert area between Rawlins & Rock Springs. After the customer left I washed out my drum with the water I had left in the tank and prepared to leave.
Rear view mirror showed a youthful blonde gal, denim bell-bottoms, loose floral blouse and a bandana on her head ( that '70's look), talking to herself and gesticulating with her arms and hands the way some folk do.
Well, after losing sight of her in the mirror I was forced to get out of the rig and give it a walk-around, just for safety.
Never saw her again. I even climbed up the ladder & looked inside my drum! The prairie there was flat and open for miles.
I imagine spectres are spooky enough at night, but to see one at mid-day, with a lonely stretch of nothing ahead of ya is a bit un-nerving.

I have experiances that completely dispell anything you said in your post.
I'll make it short but I fully believe the spirit of my grandmother,who died before I was born, lives in my house. The house was built in 1991 on the site where my father's old house stood when he was a boy. His mother died in a house fire along with his baby brother (whom I am named after) when dad was only nine.When we had a baby the double-locked crib rail was always down when we got up at night. One night I was alone with the baby trying to calm him down but nothing worked until all of a sudden he started looking into the empty corner of the room,which suddenly turned icy cold, laughing and waving over my shoulder at something that I could not see.Being scared out of my mind I said "We know who you are and why you are here. we know you mean no harm to the baby and you are welcome to stay here but under NO circumstances are you to reveal yourself to us in any way as it will scare the hell out of us" From the night onward the crib rail was never in the down position at night until the second child was born and it only happened a coupe times. We would just shrug it of and say "Great grandma was here again." As he grew older he started to talk about his friend that would come to him at night and play with him. Just on a whim one day at my parents place I showed him a photo of dad's dead mother without telling him who it was, and asked him if he had even seen her before. he said "Yes,that's my friend Gummie She's the one that comes and plays with me at night". :blink:
Then there was the case of the missing teddy bears one night.They were both missing for two days Both kids were extremely upset.We stripped the beds looking for them. I got mad and said looking up at the ceiling "Enough is enough! We want the damn bears back and we want them back tonight!" I went back upstairs a short time later and lying between the matress and the bedrail wa a teaddy bear.It was in the exact same place in both kids rooms. It would have been impossible to miss while looking before as we had to remove and relace the bedrail while looking for them.
There have been other instances as well. As God as my witness all the above is true.
Oh well so much for keeping it short.

i had asked because I am (OR WAS A SKEPTIC) and wanted to not feel stupid and know I was safe top say anything here without being bashed or called a fruit BECAUSE I CAN ASSURE YOU ALL IM NOT! When I was a younger lad I had thought or seen a few things that just freaked me out but whats happening to my family now is unbelievable litterally.
We got this house last fall if some of you remember me talking about it. Its an extremely old house and sat empty foy s few years outside of the little town of Princeton Wisconsin. The house upon a walk through and inspection needed work but it was so perfect in many ways and what my wife and I were looking for and and we really wanted it.
Well our first week here there was some odd things happening not scary just strange an example one night I was on the computer and it lost the internet connection no big deal I then went to investigate to find the phone cord right next to my desk that ran to the dsl modem cut cleanly like with a siccors it was now in to pieces I had a few things happen that night and nights before so I imediately woke my wife up as we were in the living room looking at this now 2 piece telephone cord the TV went blaring above the living room in my daughters room I looked at my wife and said what the f____ is going on!! She insisted the dog chewed the cord I said I was sitting heree and would have heard and seen the dog chewing this and it didnt look chewed up it was a clean cut.
Well theres a long list of activity my 13 year old daughters friend will not stay the night here again she was overnight and woke up to the sound of someone walking up and down the stairs over and over again she looked and everyone was still in bed sleeping nobody else was up she imediately came down to the family room and thats where she stayed.
Theres is always walking up and down the hallway upstairs and things litterally banging around I have at sevral times tried to get to the source quickly and quietly but it always seems to stop when Im halfway up the stairs. My kids here the walking at night just as I do and have also investigated it with no luck and to find nobody there.
Sunday night was the first time in a few weeeks the kids slept upstairs in there rooms I heard the walking and things moving around my 13 year old daughter before I said anything told me lastnight she heard someone walking around her bed she thought it was my 8 year old daughter but when she turned on the light it stopped and nobody was there she then checked my 8 year olds room and she was sound asleep.
The kicker is my 8 year old approach me tonight and said daddy I was sleeping lastnight and I woke up because someone was walking aroun my room then stopped by my bed and they were breathing hard like after you were running fast. Well I put 2 and 2 together after she told she couldnt see anyone there.
The icing on the cake was today I was home alone all day and its nothing to here the walking and movement upstairs so we are used to it and I gave up on investigating it. Well my wife had called to tell me she had a nursing stop at a residents before coming home and she then ask if Marissa my 13 year old daughter was home because she was sick in the morning I said I dont know she hasnt come downstairs if she is home but if she did I may have been outside but I didnt think she was home.
Well no sooner I heard a chair sliding accross a wood floor you know the sound kind of a sliding with a low howl. I told Kim ohh wait yeah shes up there I can here her but I cant believe she hasnt come downstairs I listen to that chair several times and said to my wife shes messing around at her computer desk I keep hearing her chair sliding accroos the damn floor and scooting like shes scooting it up to her desk. Well I then heard the front door open and said the kids just got off the bus I called my son and asked if Marissa was sick and stayed home he said what?? no she just got off the bus with us.
My heart stopped then I said come on he laughed at me like I was losing my mind and he was puzzled low and behold my daughter walked into my room and I had confronted here she also said she went to scool and sh still had her coat on. Now I was puzzled I questioned her again and she got mad at me and said here Ill tell you what we talked about in health class I told her no I believe her we talked a bit about it when my youngest is upstairs shes doing good with whats going on and we dont want to scare her or mess her up.
My son revealed to me a digital recording of some whispering of a male voice he had ended up with on a digital recording he showed it to my wife who is skeptic or just dont want to believe its true she again said today that she thought he made it to mess with her he got upset which told me he was serious that he didnt make it. The things going on here are not threatening but still make a person uncomfortable at times. Things like TVs turning off on the kids ETC.
After a long talk we decided that we needed to contact someone for some help and further assistance. I called a Wisconsin branch of some group thats called TAPS there called RCPS they were a huge help on things we can do and they assured us that with all thats happened and happening it was not threatening in anyway other than the cat that ended up in the Water Cistern under the kitchen. Theres some things I need to do this week and things I need like a digital recorder and marking the floor where the chairs sit. The most activity comes from my daughters rooms which are connected like alot of old farm houses you have to go through one room to get to the other.
All in all I am kind of a skeptic on this stuff but enough is enough all I want are answers to what is going on or causing things even if it isnt paranormal. As I said we are not terrified but puzzled at times and startled and sometimes freaked a bit if this proceeds or after tests that were recomended by this parnormal group they can come to help us out. I just want to know whats happening here or what the source or explanations are for whats happening. We are not jumping the gun just wanting answers for a years worth af unexplianed happenings hopefully theres logical ones and its nothing eitherway we are not scared out of our witts or terrified in anyway just curious.
I dont mean to drag onto here or quite frankly its kind of imbarassing but sometimes you have to tell people things to get it out of your system I bottled it long enough I even went as far as to think we were all crazy but I know were not and we experience this stuff and theres got to be answer reguardless what the hell it Thanks for letting me vent or share its 4:30AM here and Im gonna hit the sheets I just figured Ide stay up for a bit and listen awhile tonight and as usual theres the walking around but nothing banging around so Im off to bed .

A good Friend and Ham buddy , is involved with a group of people
who investigate this kind of stuff .
He's told me some stories of some weird and Scary Shit !!!!
all of which he made me promise not to share , in deference to
the privacy wishes of the people involved .
an old girlfriend of mine likes to go to graveyards
at night and take pictures , she has
several pictures of orbs, lights, shadowy figures , etc
after hearing these stories and seeing pictures
i beleive !!!!!!!!!!!!
I personally have never had an experience like this
except for the odd occasional feeling that someone
is behind you , watching you . that your not alone in the room, etc ,
i did however once have an encounter with what i beleive
to have been an angel .
this was in the early 80's
i was stuck in an all night diner in Raton New Mexico
it was the middle of January and it was 10 degrees outside
all i had to wear was a light jacket and jeans ,
i was hitchhiking back to Denver to face some legal problems
i had fled from , and had made a personal promise with God
( as I understand Him )
that if he would help me get back there , i would face up
anyway , it was 4 oclock in the morning and i was soooo Hungry
i hadnt eaten in two days , and the free coffee the waitress had given
me was eating a hole in my stomach ,
there were guys coming in and out having breakfast getting ready to go
hunting .
and the waitress and cook knew every one of these guys by name
the place was full of people, and they knew them all personally
I asked if i could wash dishes , mop the floor etc, anything to
earn a meal ,and was flatly denied .
i went to the bathroom , to relieve myself , and there was this guy
in there , he wasnt dressed like all the others , camo gear ,orange hats ,etc,
rather he was dressed like a yuppie w Docker like pants , sweater , nice shirt etc,
he did not look at all like he belonged there .
he handed me a five dollar bill , and said ,
"i understand your hungry "
i told him i was and that i was extremely grateful to have something to eat .
i took the money . went back to my table and ordered some food
it should be noted that i could plainly see the door to the mens room
from my table and i was waiting for this guy to come out
so i could thank him again .
he never came out , i watched and waited
i never once took my eyes off that door .
and also , i never saw him go in .although i wasnt exactly paying attention
my meal came , i ate it , never once losing sight of that door
after i was finished , i went back in there ,
he was gone , vanished ,
no one else has gone in or come out in the meantime
the waitress said she never saw him come or go .
theres more to the story as far as how the rest of my trip went
and how it had begun and its a long one
but to this day , i still believe that man was an angel !!!!

Been in the undertaking business for 20 years !!! Never seen or heard a ghost in the funeral home. And i have been in there all hours of the nite Embalming!!!I figure if there are any thats where they gonna be....
Undertaker I have done some reading on this not that I'm and expert by anymeans. But from what I have read The pros say that ghost usally stay where they loved or where some bad expierence happened to them like if they were killed. It is where the heart wants to be.
Exactly what I have heard as well.
Another story. One night I was alone again with two infant children as the wife was working nights. I awoke to hear one of them crying but was only about half awake.In my stupor I laid there waiting for the wife to get up instead.The crying got louder.Then I felt the blankets slide down the bed towards the bottom and the side of the bed drop as if someone sat on it.At that moment I stopped breathing and could hear and feel my own heart beating.Then it felt as if someone got up off the bed and the blankets slid down some more. Remember at this point I was W I D E awake.I jumped up just in time to see a dark gray figure in the shape of a person dissolve into nothing.I ran into the baby's room to tend to him and yes the crib rail was down again.It was as if someone was telling me to get the hell up and look after my child.
Well it was a rough night here lastnight we went to a ARES/RACES m-meeting we got home andall was good my son and I earlier lastnight kind of doi a sweep through upstairs and did a investigation my son had got some whispering on a previous digital recording which is what the paranormal group told us to try and theuy explained it had to be a digital recording due to tape and other recorders motors and other moving parts giving false or deceptive noises a few days ago he got some whispering.
We had tried this again early lastnight with no results my son had said that it was a bad time and that we should try it late at night because this is when the most activity is I looked at him like whatever like its gonna make a difference as far as trying to contact this spirit if this was indeed what it is. Well as I said no results so Are we all losing are minds?
It was about 1:15AM or so this morning when I heard a thumping noise or like one of the kids or someone was jumping upstairs it startled me and was loud and hard enough where there was even a kind of vibration to it I imediately was chilled to the bone with this and went to the stair way and as I listened there was the sound but it actually was the sound of like a box with books in it or heavier objects in it being dropped to the floor or beeing stacked or organized I could hear the thump and then the sound of them sliding accross the floor almost like if some one was packing boxes carrying them a bit dropping them and pushing them to a corner or curtain area.
It was so loud I imediately yelled up the stairs all three kids names one by one with no replies now I was kind of stunned or freaked out I then sarted really yelling who is up what the hell are you doing up there? I heard the footsteps come down the hall to the stairway and stop as if someone stopped and was looking over the banistor/wall at me just standing there again I yelled louder HELLO? WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE. no response and I still had that chilling feeling someone was standing at the top of the stairs I went up a few stairs and just froze I turned around got my wife out of bed and explained what was going on and we went upstairs.
We were both kind of leary but had to go up there we checked the girls room first my youngest was sound asleep we woke her up for a second just to see that she was ok and if she was hearing or had heard the noise she said no and dropped to her pillow and off to sleepy land she was again.My oldest daughter wasnt in her bed so we went to my sons room and she was on the top bunk sound asleep and Im guessing she was in there because of what has been happening and felt better near someone. My son was on the bottom bunk sound asleep we then investigated a bit to atleast find the source of the noise I heard there was one smaller box in my daughters room but nothing was in it and there were no other explanations for that damn noise.
I was and am very frustrated my wife didnt want to leave my youngest daughters room but I assured her it was ok we then just stopped and again looked around a bit again. I am so frustrated all I want is answers or explanations to whats happening logical or even if it something else if I knew forsure it would make me feel better just to know if you understand what Im saying. If it doesnt stop I will take whatever help I can get to figure this out. We are all hoping its all logical but am ok with it if its not aslong as we understand whats going on. I have somany question though like why just those 2 rooms upstairs? Thats what chaps my @$$.
I know there are people out here who are as skeptic as I was or still am but if you go through what I am right now I guarantee you thoughts on this stuff would change call me crazy or better yet my whole family and my daughters friend who wont stay here anymore crazy all I know is whats happening and how it makes me feel along with how frustrated I am at this point. I could never explain to anyone or expect anyone or everyone for that matter to understand or even believe what Im going through or feeling but I can assure you deffinate answers would put me at ease either way even if it was something simple I dont think Ide feel stupid at this point because its so real and crazy.
We had tried this again early lastnight with no results my son had said that it was a bad time and that we should try it late at night because this is when the most activity is I looked at him like whatever like its gonna make a difference as far as trying to contact this spirit if this was indeed what it is. Well as I said no results so Are we all losing are minds?
It was about 1:15AM or so this morning when I heard a thumping noise or like one of the kids or someone was jumping upstairs it startled me and was loud and hard enough where there was even a kind of vibration to it I imediately was chilled to the bone with this and went to the stair way and as I listened there was the sound but it actually was the sound of like a box with books in it or heavier objects in it being dropped to the floor or beeing stacked or organized I could hear the thump and then the sound of them sliding accross the floor almost like if some one was packing boxes carrying them a bit dropping them and pushing them to a corner or curtain area.
It was so loud I imediately yelled up the stairs all three kids names one by one with no replies now I was kind of stunned or freaked out I then sarted really yelling who is up what the hell are you doing up there? I heard the footsteps come down the hall to the stairway and stop as if someone stopped and was looking over the banistor/wall at me just standing there again I yelled louder HELLO? WHAT ARE YOU DOING UP THERE. no response and I still had that chilling feeling someone was standing at the top of the stairs I went up a few stairs and just froze I turned around got my wife out of bed and explained what was going on and we went upstairs.
We were both kind of leary but had to go up there we checked the girls room first my youngest was sound asleep we woke her up for a second just to see that she was ok and if she was hearing or had heard the noise she said no and dropped to her pillow and off to sleepy land she was again.My oldest daughter wasnt in her bed so we went to my sons room and she was on the top bunk sound asleep and Im guessing she was in there because of what has been happening and felt better near someone. My son was on the bottom bunk sound asleep we then investigated a bit to atleast find the source of the noise I heard there was one smaller box in my daughters room but nothing was in it and there were no other explanations for that damn noise.
I was and am very frustrated my wife didnt want to leave my youngest daughters room but I assured her it was ok we then just stopped and again looked around a bit again. I am so frustrated all I want is answers or explanations to whats happening logical or even if it something else if I knew forsure it would make me feel better just to know if you understand what Im saying. If it doesnt stop I will take whatever help I can get to figure this out. We are all hoping its all logical but am ok with it if its not aslong as we understand whats going on. I have somany question though like why just those 2 rooms upstairs? Thats what chaps my @$$.
I know there are people out here who are as skeptic as I was or still am but if you go through what I am right now I guarantee you thoughts on this stuff would change call me crazy or better yet my whole family and my daughters friend who wont stay here anymore crazy all I know is whats happening and how it makes me feel along with how frustrated I am at this point. I could never explain to anyone or expect anyone or everyone for that matter to understand or even believe what Im going through or feeling but I can assure you deffinate answers would put me at ease either way even if it was something simple I dont think Ide feel stupid at this point because its so real and crazy.
I don't think I could handle that Tony. I am comfortable with my situation here as things really pretty much stopped after I said that they (she) was welcome to stay in my home and that we trusted them (her) with the children but not to make an appearance. We have considered the spirit here as a guardian angel over the kids as we firmly believe it is the spirit of Dad's mother.See my first post on this matter to see why we feel this way.There are still the odd little things that happen like a sudden unexplained noise or seeing something move across in front of the computer monitor when we are all in the living room.The computer is in the den but the monitor is visable thru the doorway. As far as the kids go things have pretty much stopped as they are now older and no longer wake up at night needing us.
