if i understand correctly , hams can build or modify things to work for their hobby . would a ham ticket allow me to legally use a cb radio that has extra channels (10 meter) added to it with an amp behind it legally ? the regular cb U/L & AM channels will still be working , but of course they wouldnt be used with the amp turned on . i havnt had any issues with any neighbors , and outside of an antenna upgrade i dont plan on any additional equipment . just wondering if having a ticket could save my fat butt if a problem comes up in the future and also just to know .
