Having the ticket lets you use whatever you want ON THE HAM BANDS as long as it meets the "emmissions" requirments. That's a fancy way of saying that your signal needs to be clean, or at least up to a certain standard. You can use your CB with 10 meter frequencies on it with an amp on 10 meters. You can use a toaster that has been modified by AMPOWER to work on 28.400 USB with an amp built from a trash can and clothesline by ZMAN if you want. Of course, you'll have to clean that mess up to make it clean enough to use, but you get my drift.

One thing to remember is that having the ham license does not give you the right to run extra power on the CB band or operate on any of the "freeband" requencies.
