Retevis is giving away Radios for the New Year and Every Member is Eligible. Click Here to see the details!
As far as I know, every CB which is made today uses a first I.F. of 10.695MHz, and a 2nd I.F. of 455KHz. The major reason is that filters for these frequencies are readily available. Its the older CB radios that are single conversion.
Back in the 70's when CB channels were expanded from 23 to 40, they limited it to 40 channels because this was all that the single-conversion 455KHz-IF receiver could handle.
