Hindsight is great for improving redundancy. I'm sure the station passed power outage tests many times before with no toaster overheating. That poor load looks like it had plenty of time to cook too. Did that trigger a smoke alarm or did someone's nose finally catch the aroma of roasting plastic and Glowbar? At least the paint is baked on good now.
