Dx2547 channel mod switches

I have a "bench" file, just text to use the PA and GNF switches. Those seemed the most useless.

Not sure how many times it has been proofread, by modifying another radio using that file.

I checked, and we have some pics to go with the text file, but none of them have been cropped and resized for forum use yet.

Not sure when I'll have a chance to put the pics and the text together in a post, but it won't be this afternoon.

Roger beep should be easy. Follow the 2 wires from behind the roger beep switch that lead to J10 on the main circuit board.

Unplug J10. No more roger beep this way.

The two wires on this plug are now available for one of the two switches you need. Circuit is closed with the RB switch pushed in, open when out.

PA switch is a little trickier. I'll have another look at the text file on our "secure" computer. Has no network on it. Floppy still works.

kaos, i always use the channel 9 rotary switch since it kind of resembles a band switch.
the problem is that you lose one of the channel ranges.
It's the higher one so you would still have channels below 1 and above 40.

I've done quite a few like that, and im sure i have some notes on it, but my current filing system consists of a HUGE three ring binder packed to the brim with chicken scratching. (i always seem to have something better to do than organizing shop notes)

If you decide to go this route, i will look for any notes i have, but no guarantees that i will find them.

Takes four combinations to get all the channels from changing the two channel-switch wires. Two switches or one, you will sacrifice one of the four combinations to use a 3-position switch.

Then again, if you can find a 4-position switch that matches the size and shaft of the original one, that would take care of the problem.
