The ARRL has learned that EarthLink is blocking e-mail traffic routed to EarthLink subscribers (with earthlink.net, peoplepc.net or netcom.com addresses) via the ARRL E-Mail Forwarding Service (@arrl.net addresses), resulting in valid e-mail traffic bound for an ARRL member's EarthLink e-mail account "bouncing back." According to ARRL Information Technology Manager Jon Bloom, KE3Z, senders of such messages are receiving error reports. "While this situation has occurred in the past and had been resolved, the block on ARRL E-Mail Forwarding Service traffic apparently was reinstituted within the past day or so, affecting more than 1700 ARRL members," Bloom said. "ARRL is attempting to contact EarthLink to resolve the problem." ARRL apologizes for any inconvenience this situation may cause and will post further updates as new information on the situation becomes available.
