Great story to help the "Ipod generation" understand we really did go to the moon. I've also heard younger people claim they feel it was all a hoax. Nothing like being able to aim your own antenna at the moon to receive the signal before the CBS 5 second delay. I'm sure some will say it's still not true because they were not there or don't have a laser to aim at the reflectors that are still on the surface.

Not that I want to discredit this post in anyway however, I did think of one way this broadcast from the moon could have been simulated. What about moon bounce? One could point a high gain transmitting antenna at the moon and bounce a signal back to earth that would appear to originate from the moon in location.

I know this was not the case but in theory could this be simulated in that manner? I suspect it would generate a signal on earth that would cover a smaller geographic area then having the signal originate on the moon as it did. Having recently formed an interest in moon bounce I'm wondering if some more familiar might comment on these ideas?
