hello forum,

i dug out an old radio that was in the pile and i have no idea what is up with this thing.... it works great on am! On either upper or lower sideband the sensitivity drops off to almost nothing, it still transmits fine but you have to turn the volume up the whole way to hear any thing.

Any ideas? i have been able to find next to nothing on this radio online, im asuming it never really was popular..shame its a nice looking rig...if i must i'll take it to the shop and let the doc work on it. i just thought id give it a shot first.

thanks for your time!

Sure - a great radio. Have a friend that has one; told him it was his best sounding radio of the bunch that he uses. Great SSB radio. If you think it is having a problem, send it to Doug at DTB Radio (Google it) for a checkup and a full alignment. Definitely a keeper - IMO . . .

The TS-3010 is an OK radio, more of a novelty. The TS-5010/Shogun are 10X better.

I owned one for a day.

It was BNIB, old stock and mint in the box, blah blah blah.

Course it was an Ebay turd. Back to the lying seller it went.

Pity.
