Hello there,
Recently I came across a radio that I had owned and worked on when I was 16 years old. The raiio had been sold to a local guy, who in turn sold it to another local guy, who loaned it to a local customer of mine. The serial numbers matched, and I know my own work, so upon inspection, it in fact was my radio. The only problem with it is that the faceplate is NO WHERE near in the shape that it was in, and the black covers are all "chipped" away. The radio on the outside looks something horrid, but the inside looks good. There is one place inside where someone replaced a resistor going to the RF power meter variable control, I'm not sure what they were trying to accomplish here, but everything else is in tact.
My question is: Does anyone have a faceplate for this radio, and some covers, or a decent looking one that is electronically trashed? If so, please either respond here, or send me a private message. This proves it is a small world.
Take care, and thanks for reading this, <img src=http://users.joplin.com/dutch64804/posticon40.gif ALT=":40">
