Hi guys, Recently acquired this mic from a local. Needed a little work & some cleaning. This is a beautiful D104 TUP9 late model Black Special, is a late model evidenced by the later-style labels they used. Came with an Old School "dead bug" style Tweety Bird classic noise toy. "Dead Bug" refers to all of the caps. & resistors were installed directly onto the 14 pin chip. Switch & Push Button were installed where they are. Push button was red and worn so installed a new black one. Switch had red sleeve so cut it off revealing all metal stem. I added the Variable control. Had to place it where I did due space restrictions inside a TUP9 stand. Black knob with chrome trim on the variable so mic is now all black & chrome. Mic has original MC 320 cartridge that is loud, clean and clear and sounds just like it should. Amplified board is strong and only have to turn up 1/4 way to be loud. All chrome screws on front & back of head. Shiny chrome cord spring. Silver tone bottom clip on bottom of side key bar. Black bottom plate felt is excellent. All chrome is excellent. Black painted areas had only 3 or 4 little places where the paint was nicked and these I touched up with some black matte paint with the tip of an artist's brush, and is a perfect match.
Switch is on/off for Tweety. Turn off for straight talking with no sounds. Turn on and makes a single Tweet when you key the mic. Push button makes the continuous classic warbling Tweety Bird. Variable control speeds & or slows down Tweety Repeat rate. Comes wired 4 pin cobra/galaxy & new Duracell Procell battery. Mic has been cleaned & polished top to bottom. Will be ready to plug & play & Tweet right out of the box with nothing for you to do. I'm rating this mic a 9.5 of 10 Exceptional but you may think it's even better.
