Earlier today they said at first it was fireworks and then later a firecracker and now "a small explosive device". Sounds to me like security somewhere was taking a holiday for the holidays.

1. Why wouldn't the president make a statement about something that affects the safety and security of the American public? I mean it WAS being treated as a terrorist action.
