In a way..
I can understand not liking the loud noises of the planes..

However as stated..the base was there before those who moved in to live near the base..(so shame on them for deciding after the fact
that the noise from the base was too much )

Then compound that with the reason for the flyby that day
( and again shame on those who didn't like the noise)

Myself..
I really like and Applaud the...

Only 2 people have died for us....
One being Jesus..
The 2ed being US Military soldier..

One ( Jesus ) dying for our very soul
2ed ( US soldier ) dying for our very freedom

Also the phone bit...Excellent

Thumbs Up

God Bless The USA, Land of The Free, Because of The Brave!

BTW-My beautiful, godly wife is a retired Air Force Master Sargent and I am a Viet Nam Era Vet of The USN Seabees.

Well done commander!! (y)

To all our men and women that have paid the biggest price .....

*Stands to attention and salutes as the F-16's fly over*

to all those that blast our military....you get a different bird

PEOPLE NEED TO QUIT CRYING it was there before they were and if they have to listen to a little noise for freedom and protection then deal with it. Maybe they should think about the noise those that lived in New York had to deal with on a daily basis for awhile or how about all The thunderous booms and popping noises our men and women had to listen to (24 hours a day) overseas. Atleast the planes they hear in AZ dont get them nervous and make the hair on the back of there necks standup.

Heck..

Talk about noise in NYC ..

I used to live near Lagadia airport in flushing queens..
I lived in last tall building before runway..

Try having 707 and 747 buzzing you countless times day and night
Was living in a 17 story building...
planes buzzed so close to the roof..that once..a 747 clipped the elevator shaft on the roof ( from then on they didnt allow people on the roof)

The whole building shook when a plan passed directly over
( was cool being on the roof when they flew over (before the roof ban was put in effect)...seemed like you could jump up and touch the bottom of the plane).

But all that noise..no one complained...that was simply how it was
( and still is there .. even today )

We have a huge complex out in the pines of South Jersey called "The William J. Hughes Aviation Technical Center" it's a combination of the Atlantic City International Airport, the home of the Jersey Devils 177th Fighter wing, U.S. Coast Guard air Search and Rescue base Station Atlantic City, Sky Marshal training facility, and an aviation testing facility all in one.
Not only do we have commercial air craft coming and going 24/7, but also the F-16's of the 177th, plus the Coast Guard's Dolphin helo's, and the noise associated with the various tests done there on jet engines...

Nobody complains about any of it, if someone sent a letter like that to the Press of Atlantic City, I doubt it would get published.....but this ain't Kalifonia either.....

Same thing happened in Denver, they bitched and bitched about the old Stapleton airport which was right on the northeastern border of Denver which is Commerce City so they build a new one way out east of Denver some 20 miles in the middle of no freeking where.

As soon as they complete DIA they flocked there in droves, these yuppy aholes just so the commute would be shorter and then start complaining about the jet noise, go figure.
