What is up with this statement popping up all over peoples wall: ?!?!?

Yeah like that statement above will mean anything to anyone. When you post on the internet it becomes public whether you want it too or not. I never could understand why some people feel the need to tell everyone everything that is going on with their life. I mean EVERYTHING. Who gives a shit if someone is "feeling blue today" or is "at Walmart now" Seriously, get a life. The local radio station here refers to Facebook as "Face Creepy". I have to agree.

i love it when people go on vacation ,post the whole time on facebook that they are at disneyland or wherever and then come home to find out their house was robbed...lol.....

there was a very similar case last year or so ....a family goes on vacation ,posts it on facebook,updates where they are every day a few times a day .
meanwhile at home a robber has broken in their home and lived there the whole week they are gone ,watching their facebook page so he knew when and where they were and when he should hi tail it outta there .and of course robbing them on the way out .

I had a Facebook for about a year once. One of my 'friends' account got hacked. The hacker sent out IMs to everyone in their 'friend' list with an attached virus. My iPhone wasn't affected by it. The 'friend' quickly realized what happened and posted to ignore any IMs from them. But for almost a week the lemmings piled up...opening virus after virus from this hacker. Many lost their FB account passwords, email accounts, the email accounts leading to any credit card numbers stored there, and more. I simply changed my password. Problem solved.

I know of a couple of local repeaters where hams publicly tell everyone what is going on with their life, just about every second of the day. It's not really all that much different than what soccer moms do on Facebook, you know. op:
