Fan Mounting: KL-203P

I have at fairly stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway...

Does anyone have a clean method of mounting a fan on a small amp like the KL-203P?

I picked up a ln 80mm 12V fan and wired it to the Power switch on the amplifier... that was the easy part...

What is a good clean method on keeping it attached to the heatsink?
Anyone care to share their methods?

I've used automotive vacuum hose to mount a fan. Shove the hose into the heat sink and run some screws thru the fan into the hose.

There's always zip ties but they aren't as slick looking.

Some use plastic sheetrock screw holders and do same thing.. just jam them in the find and then thread in screws..

Driving it with an Anytone Apollo II with about a 1.75w carrier, I haven't installed it yet, but everything looks good on the O'Scope

I'm pretty sure if it's still working it's definitely worth keeping those fets cool to lengthen the lifespan. Hopefully the o.p. will reply.

I considered the fans but had thought of drilling and tapping threads into the heatsink. That of course is quite a bit of work being it would require complete removal of the pcb inside and also would depend on the clearance between the pcb and heatsink itself. Is it worth going that far into it? That would depend on how clean you're willing to make the installation.

The fuel line trick sure makes it much easier though.

I used a piece of 4 conductor control cable for anchors in the fins. Chop off a piece of cable about 3/8 inch long and jam it into the fins. then screw in a sheet metal screw for the fan. The fans that I use are rated for 24v so they turn slower and are a lot quieter than the 12v version.
