Final getting hot

Do you mean.... you turn the radio off because the final is getting hot?

I'm not sure how much you know so if I misinterperate what you mean please excuse me.

The final in any radio will always get hot.... its part of rf amp efficency. If this radio is a straight AM radio the rf amp in it will be class c... a class c amp is only 60 percent eficent. The other 40 percent is lost in the form of heat.
So if your radio is putting out 6 watts, because of efficency you have 4 watts being lost as heat. If this radio was 100 percent efficent, it would put out 10 watts and create no heat. But because its class c ( 60% efficent)it will loose 4 watts as heat and the radio will put out 6 watts.

So what I'm saying is the transistors in any rf amp will get hot. You might even notice the same thing with the audio amp circuit..
The more output power that radio is putting out... the more heat is generated due to efficency. The more output power-- the hotter the radio.

I hope I understood you right

Yes, when i turn on the radio the final gets hot without any modulation?? very hot. Thanks i will add modulation and see what happens. Thanks. # 15 in the valley.
