Damn it's early!
Off to the Hamfest!
Almost 400 miles round trip, but sounds like almost 20+ members of the 3865 group in-route today to say Howdy!
Hmmm....What will I bring home today????

Well I must say, We ALL had a great day! We ended up having 30+ hams from the 3865 group and a few from the 144.94 Simplex bunch +4 YL's get together. The weather was high 70's to low 80's and cloudy well into early afternoon. The turnout was good for the Findlay Club, I thought (I hope they did well)
Local Boy Scout Troup had an excellent, very nicely priced food stand that seemed to do well also....GOOD Brats, Burgers...etc...
Seemed we never had enough chairs for everyone to "Sit a Spell"
It's always a pleasure for me to put a face with the voice
We had members from Indiana/Mi./Cleveland,Oh/ Several from around S. Ohio(Cincinnati Area). Bunch from around NW Ohio, even one from Ontario, Canada drove down...
I did see my friends from Hamilton, Oh "Candy Store" and Rodger made me a deal I could not pass up !
RigPix Database - Yaesu - FTdx-3000
Let me tell you'll the pictures do not do this rig justice
:
I am still "fumbling" through the manual...But WOW what a radio!
I'll try and post a review, as I learn the basic functions...
TX audio reports so far from HF and 6m have been excellent, some to most better than my FT-950...(with same mic - Heil GM-5/studio element)
I copied the TX audio settings from the FT950 and loaded those into the FTdx3000 and after a little "tweaking" on the air...
Have it sounding "Like I sound in-person" by reports now...
Enough for now, better get to the yard work I missed from being at the Hamfest, before it gets to 'Meltdown" range here...(played hooky today:blush
All the Best
