First batch of Anytone AT-5888UV rigs recalled

1) when transceiver in UU or VV mode, the sub band no RX.
it is caused because of CPU software updating, the previous 50pcs have no this problem. Now the solution is we send you a Hi-writer, and send you the CPU software, then you update the current 100pcs by yourself.

2) The RJ-45 jack board has problem. Last time i shipped 54pcs RJ-45 jack board, please don't ship the board to end users, it is still not correct one, engineer said inside 1 resistance is incorrect. i will send you 154pcs RJ-45 jack board together with Hi-writer, all of the radios must change with this jack board.

So, he has recalled the first 50 that he just mailed out so that he can correct the issues. Fortunately the issues were caught and sound like a basic fix. As an interesting note, it looks like we will have a firmware update program now

other problems

I guess there are also audio problems with the radio, - I have the AT-588 VHF radio and I really like it and no issues that I know of.
I'm waiting on Universal Radio to announce their price on the 5888uv.
The radios can be purchased from the manufacture for $180 so I hope the markup is not going to be 55% like the other guy. They have a decent price on the Wouxun but I lost interest in that radio.
