I know that when I got my SDR-1000, I couldn't find the unlocked/general coverage modified software anywhere. I searched Google several times with no luck whatsoever. Then a forum member who found this file shared the location/link with me. I'm pretty sure that the WWRF is the only forum site that got it on the internet first!

After you download the file, you will have to rename it this file in order to restore it. Just right click on the file and then click on 'rename'. Then all you have to do is change the ".zi" ending of the file name to ".zip" by adding the letter 'p'. Without the quotes - of course.
Done - file restored.
That's it...
