I went to Rat-Shack and bought a noise suppression kit and installed it. Worked for me.

Ridgrider, you need to sell that Ford!!!

I've got a '90 Ford p/up and the noise is unbearable. I've gotten rid of some of the noise by doing alot of grounding to frame - anetenna mount to frame, hood to frame, doors to frame, alternator to frame, many grounds from fuel tank to frame, etc... The worst culprit for noise in my truck is the fuel pump (which is inside the fuel tank). You can tell if the noise is coming in through the antenna by disconnecting the antenna with engine running and cb on. If your noise stops when antenna is removed the noise is coming in through antenna, if the noise remains with antenna off you can buy a filter for your cb power wire which will eliminate much of the noise.

PS, try and find the source of the noise then post what you've found.

Hey Shockwave, that was great! I'm gonna' have to try that. All the grounding I did "helped", but did NOT eliminate enough of the fuel pump noise. Unfortunately I couldn't get the pictures to come up. Off to RatShack for some snap on rf chokes.

Thanks, Hossless
