FTM-350AR Cross-Band Repeat

Anyone know how to set it up? Would like to use my TH-F6A and my mobile FTM-350AR when i am up on a hill or mountain top or at the mall shopping it would be nice to setup the mobile to TX from the ht to the mobile...

Yes, I use it all the time around the house. First punch in your frequencies on each band VFO that you want to use. Then power off the radio and go into the Special Function menu by holding down the Power button and the button to the left of the Power. In the Special Function menu you'll find the Crossband Repeat item. Just select that and the radio will ask you to confirm and then reboot into crossband repeat mode. While in Crossband repeat, you can change frequency, volume, and squelch. However, you cannot switch between memory and vfo mode, change PL Tones, etc.

Just tried it on my THF6 keyed with "EL" power setting and Bam! right in the kisser. it works!
I think i may need to Add some sort of fan next to the base of the radio to dissipate heat.

Question how would i setup my Simplex freq on the FTM350 with a PL Tone so only I can activate it? DO i just add a pl tone then program that simplex freq to the HT and all is well?

Yup...

Not sure how the 350's menu's are going to read, but you're going to set the HT to encode, and the 350 to decode. The menu may say PL-RX/PL-TX or something like that.

How about dtmf control instead.of pl tones ?

Haven't had a reason to send DTMF while cross-banding but I don't see why it wouldn't work. You would send that from your HT, btw.
