Hi. I run a Galaxy 33 in a slip seat box and sometimes it does not transmit or transmits at a lower volume. I know when it's not transmitting when I cannot hear myself in the talkback. Any ideas ? Thanks for looking !
Start with the simple things, check the mic, mic plug, so-239 connector on the back of the radio, radio settings, as well as the power cord to make sure all is in order. After that it would be the radio. Could be a part that fails when it gets hot, cold solder joint, or something different. Problems like that can sometimes be tough for a shop to pin down if they can't get the radio to act up when it's on their bench.
