For sale: Galaxy 929 40 channel CB radio.
The bad: Cosmetically this radio is in poor shape. Someone before me, drilled holes in the top cover, the rear and the sides. they also cut up the side cover where they drilled the holes. The top cover holes are obscured by black masking tape.
The good: This radio works. It has a 5 tone roger beep installed. It also currently has a doorbell key up noise toy installed. I used two of the holes drilled in the rear, to install switches to turn off the noise toy and the 5 tone board.
The meter light has also been changed (by the previous owner) to a blue meter. There's also felt pad feet the last guy glued to the bottom to make it useable as a base and be able to hear the speaker.
This radio deadkeys at 3-4 watts and swings to about 18 watts on my meter. Without an amp, on a mobile antenna, I was heard clear as a bell 10 miles away. Oh yeah, the receive on this radio is good.
This radio will come with a mic and the power pigtail but no bracket.
