Thanks again everyone for the help. Well, I got a chance to look at it again. I tried adjusting the VR7 pot and it made no difference. Mic gain up and down. RF power up and down. VR7 right and left. No combination of any adjustments made any difference at all. Does anyone know of a good shop I can send it to? I am not sure what shops charge to look at and fix something like this. I gave $150 for it and I'm not sure if I should fix it or look for another radio.  Its kind of a shame because the whole reason why I bought it was because it has SSB. I also have a Stryker 440hp and it doesn't have SSB so I started looking and it just so happened that a co worker had the Galaxy in storage and was willing to part with it.  Sorry for rambling.

So if anyone knows of a good shop, maybe I can send them an email to get an idea of what it would cost. Thanks.
