Galaxy DX 2547 Base Reviews

I was wondering what you guy's think of this radio.
Pro's and cons.
I had a quick glance at the board and it looks like a 8719 chip in it.
Maybe a clone of the 148/2000?

A friend of mine was wanting a new base unit and this one caught my eye.
