Galaxy DX-99V on 12 meters?

I found that by changing the reference crystal you can get coverage of 10 meter FM, but can the opposite be done for 12 ?
 

I suppose you could. However, these radio PLL circuit are a bit finnicky and it might have problems. The tuning cans are very squirrely and it just might unlock the PLL. Hard to say.

it would be easier to get a RCI-2950DX. The only problem then, is the antenna choice. . .
 
Yeah definite loss of 10 meters, and the radio is not widebanded enough even to cover the bands it can tune satisfactory without retuning. Just out of curiosity if the PLL could tune further out than 25mhz
