someone who is a export user can explain the difference between a Galaxy 98VHP vs. Galaxy 95t2 vs. Galaxy 93t ?
i like the 98vhp but it only has 5 dig i also like the 95t2 but there hard to find...? along with the 93t.
i like the starlight faceplate too really neat + the power and that echo!:D

I think they all use the same 3900 series radio chassis. Used to have a 95T2. Own/use several export radios presently and in the past. These radios don't work well - at all - with an external handheld or desk type power mic. They were built/made for the real truck driver in mind. It is best to use a noise-cancelling type of mic on it. That should work very well. Other than that, they are OK. Wouldn't use one for a base station; but for a mobile application they are outstanding. Just so long as you make sure you use a large-gauge power wires to feed it from the battery.

as of now which might change my top pick is the 95t2 it has the awesome starlight it will do 200w pep it has echo a rogerfart yes this will be for mobile use. currently is the icom but i like it more for my base. and i didnt want to have to hassel in a amplifier into the mobile. i do have two sets of wires in the mobile one being 4 gauge (for an amp) the other is 8 gauge (for a radio). just want that CB radio feel in the mobile hihi
biggest issue is finding a 95t2 for sale.

p.s robb u have a pm

If you plan on talking alot of SSB I would not choose any of them. If you like loud AM with echo and talkback and only do SSB part time then go for it. The only real difference is the power levels. The 93T is a single 2290 final and does an honest 60-70 watts. The 95T radio's are dual 2290 finals and do 150-200 depending on how hard you push one. The 98 VHP (very high price) has 8 mosfets and does the most power, maybe 200-250 ish. I don't think the 98 has FM either, can't remember.

I would look at any of the Magnum S9 variants or the new Omega Force HP radio if it was my money. If your really a hard core sidebander then the RCI 2970 N2 would be a strong consideration.

my ssb rig is a mk2g.
looking for a all out big cb radio for the mobile. so i noticed no differences between the 95t and 95t2.... i see they have no external echo control? the 98vhp is over priced... for the budget.

checkout the 2970n2 or magnum s-45hp
if on a budget checkout the rci 2950 dx every bit as good
as the 2970 but only 30-45 watts on ssb

hello. ive got a 95t for a few months now and im happy with it. i found it on craigslist for 300 bucks and got him down to 275 bucks.i use it on am and ssb with great reports, i talked 30 miles on AM during the quite noisey evening hours around 7-8 pm.
side band ive talked to alabama and ohio. I use this radio in my car with 6 gauge wire directly to the battery. i usually run about 10 watt dead key and it swings about 150 when modulating. if theres alot of noise and traffic ill turn up the dead key to about 30 or 40 and seems to help cut threw the noise better. I run a k40 steel whip and a rk56 mic or an extreme2018 so i can adjust my own echo if needed. the radio works well for my needs.
