I have a Northstar 440V same as a Galaxy 44V. When it heats up it goes off frequency. I mean all over the place. When I point a heat gun near D30 and D94 it starts going off frequency instantly. Like all over and stays all over. If you let the radio heat up on its own it will go off frequency in 1Hr. or a bit under.
These diodes are (D30 FC54m) and (D94 SVC251) I can not find a cross over. I know NTE makes something like this. And How would I test the 2 in the radio? Barket and e bay has the SVC251. The FC54M is on e bay and is out of the country. Possibly Kens. No parts at Kens....
