I still have a Lincoln and 2510, good, old radios.
I would open them and remove any Sony bond glue as a preventive measure.
The Lincoln has C/S and 12 meters, had a lot of fun with that radio in the mobile over the years.

It was removed by the shop I purchased them from. it's all good
