Good groundwave

Last night I had a guy in the radio from the Catskill mountains 150 NW of NYC. I talked to a guy in Long Island and this morning I talked to CDX1557 in Reading and 235 Delaware and 88 in Belair, MD. All over 100 miles.

and where are you at

myself being nyc/nj metro area
it is easy getting out all over

but i find often those local (100 miles or so)
often can hear me well but have problems getting back to me

is most likly due to the huge amount of rf in the city
this enables getting out easily
but also sort of creats a blanket over the area that is hard for those nearby to penitrate

:?: :shock: :?: :shock: :?: Please explain this to me and others.How does a huge amount of RF in the city enable you to get out any better? I hope you don't think your signal is "riding on all that RF" like I have heard others say happens. It just does not work that way. :?

it is harder for remote or non local to break though all the rf in city areas

my getting out is not at all helped by a lot of rf
is just harder for others to break though all the rf clutter

Out here on the left coast, I live in the Monterey Bay area... Up in the foothills.

I can be heard from San Luis Obispo to almost Redding... 400+ miles...... And thats at 6 or more pounds. I made the trip to Stockton the other day.....

I'm on a groundplane... Can't wait for the beams to be put up.

But, you are really on spot... Conditions for ground wave have been tremendous the last two or three weeks... I've noticed about a half pound more static, but that could be related to something local.
