yes i am john doe on another forum.when i signed up here i couldnt use john doe so i went with what i have now ....i am near allentown,pa stonecrusher....north of it actually.i just made a non amplified d104 with built in echo board and dual controls mounted ...gonna sell it soon......i used the bandit board because its very small and has a built in pre-amp to power the mic......
heres a updated pic of the birdie mic.i moved the air raid siren toy button to the right side with the addition of a switch instead of the button....its the white switch now ....in its place i added a on the air light.you can see i have it keyed, the light is on .....i am on the air....lol......just how much can you fit in a d104???i,m on a quest to answer that question...lol...
actually ive never really messed with smt stuff ......too small and i dont have a gun with a small enough tip .i like old school conventional parts and radios.thats why when i bought my base station i went with the 2517 because it still uses conventional parts.smt blows me away......hats off to those who can do that stuff.
