I would have to agree with you that 99% of all people use cb radios, however I don't know anyone that uses a stock radio, most all of them have been modified in some way or the other.

I for one have virgin 148 that I used to remotely listen to myself from 10 miles away on the mauldulator. I had 5 other stations key up for compairision, I must say, and the other stations agree, that even on the stock 148 reciver, the sound from the mauldulator is %50 better than the other 5 stations.

I personally talk on the superbowl, and I know for a fact that the TOP 100 stations use ham rigs, old colins equipment or very very modified Cb's, and like PRIME MINISTA'S song says,

Their aint no excuses on da bowl !

I just can not get over how good this thing sounds, I found a small 1 pill amp, now i'm looking at 5 RMS swinging to 35 PEP and sounding like FM radio.
