Does the ground plane kit for the Patriot 12 a two piece fiberglass whip antenna really make a difference? From what I have found out it has four 6 foot fiberglass poles that mount where the antenna mounts to the mast the bottom steel part of the antenna. Now I am not a skip talker but need all the help I can get living in a very mountainous area is really what I am looking for.
