Picked it up off eBay for $29.95 shipped. Used. I was worried it was fraud. To my surprise it is in mint condition the receive is very very sensitive. My droid x throws rf on certain frequency's. It came with charger earbuds oem box and manual. It recieves everything from am bruadcast to cb band to VHF air band. The fun part is its about the size of two packs of smokes. I thought it was much larger. This radio outperforms my grundig s350dl which is a piece of junk for $60.00 . Now I just need to make a headphone type plug for my longwire so I can enjoy radio Egypt , voice of russia, and ham bands ! On the go or at my desk.dont get me wrong the little telescopic antenna works beautifully.

I'm glad to hear the deal worked out for the best, too much wire will overload the radio and cause image/ghost signals all over it's coverage.I've found 20'-30' of wire usually works good for portable receivers.

I did have a 350dl for a while, it did pretty good on mediumwave but I would not pay $60 for one new.

can't go wrong at that money. I used a similar loaned sony receiver for a while but it didn't have vhf on it. the receive sensitivity on the sony was nearly on par with a hf kenwood so that's saying a lot for those. the 0.5 khz step size on ssb is a pita though.
but still, with money being hard to come by it's always a good idea to remember that you can only use one radio at a time.

Oh the step choices on this on SSB is just like a HF. It steps in .01khz and up to 5khz...I think I have that right. I will make a video of it.

I had the Radio Shack loop about 10-12 years ago,it looked the same as that one.It worked good for pulling in fringe stations on mediumwave during the day.I didn't notice much difference at night except when using the radio and loop on a lazysusan I could null out station to receive others on the same frequency. What brand is that loop and where can I get one for 20 bones???

So i just got home with the G6 and loop. i had a head phone wire with two plugs on each side plugged it into the loop and the other into the G6 plug holy tolido!!!!!! 20m is banging ON SSB. my vert sucks my slinky sucks the loop kicks ass!!!!! i didnt know it had a plug in lol i was setting the radio in the center of the loop and it only worked on AM radio band local.
Time to go buy a G3 next.

It's a Grundig AN-200

p.s your right bigger antenna seriously overloads the g6 the loop is a perfect pair. it was $21.00 @ frys electronics and it was the last one.
