I sure have seen a whole lot worse then that over the years. I think I could live with something like that , but then again , IM just far from a perfectionist. I personally do a lot of my own stuff and I know how expensive stuff can cost a guy (I think a lot of truckers really get it up the ole dairy air) It looks like it has a few noise toys along with a recorder , channels , tune up and what not , OUCH !! If you have to pay a tech to do all that , (no matter how they put the box on the radio) that becomes a pretty penny in my book and Lord know's ,it's very hard to get your money back on stuff like that. One thing is for sure though , it's a Grant XL and most folks into radios truly know how good those radios TX/RX . Different strokes for different folks. Peace

That professional should be B#tch slapped

I am a professional (broadcast engineer) and I would not want my name associated with that job and would b!tch slap myself if I did something like that. Any "professional" could have done much better for no additional cost.Just clean it up and perhaps bolt it to the top instead of using silicone.Labels would help too.

Some of the perfectionists would have a heck of a time down here in The Ozarks :!: LMAO

Ronnie :D

Trust me I am not a perfectionist but when it comes to my line of work I like to do something with a bit of pride. You know like drill all the holes in a nice line, label things, use bolts instead of silicone, dress any wire bundles neatly, color matched paint etc.Now when it comes to keeping all that neat and tidy stuff in a neat and orderly shack, well that's the part about me definately not being a perfectionist

hey.....this would be a good start for a radio hall of shame catagory...lol.........

i wish i would have saved a classic quote i once seen on a ebay cb radio auction.

"this is a am radio but you could have sideband added later"

At least this guy puts his work?? out in the open.

Unlike buying a new base radio an paying extra for the fancy tune an peak from some of these self proclaimed great companys, and then find out later the radio has never been opened up. Yeah buddy :(

If I'm gonna get screwed, I like to at least see what they are puttin in me.
