If Les put in the wrong cabinet; then he should refund the difference.


It is possible that the amp has been blown, so that it is only putting out a partial output; that would explain the 20A draw - too.  Another possibility is that the power cord to the radio has been compromised.


I really do understand being disappointed with a purchase and know the experience well.


EDIT:

There is absolutely no way that a sx 350 power cabinet will get 500w out without frying it.  They are not like bipolar-type transistors, like a 2290.  Nothing wrong with MOSFETs either, so long as they are operated well within their specs.  300w would be the limit I would use one at, just to be sure the signal was relatively clean and that the MOSFETs are not being over-heated and then fail.
