Disguised an antenna so that it looked like something else? I'm not talking about the usual ham radio flag pole vertical or stealthy wire dipole. I'm talking about a full size antenna. I already have a stealthy multi band OCFD at 35' for 40-10m.

This weekend I'm going to camo an Imax 2k into what I hope will look like a skinny tree; for stealth purposes. I can't have any visible antennas. Gonna paint it brown to match the winter tree look and use plastic cable ties to attach some skinny branches to it. Should be a sight when I'm done and I'll post pictures.

I'll mount it on a 10-15' mast behind a real tree in my back yard so that (hopefully) from the street it looks like part of that tree. Gonna use it for 10 and 11m.

Anyone else done something this silly? I'd like to hear about it and see picts.

no but i might do it to my next antenna that goes up.

it is going to be higher than the trees so i am thinking a sky blue color...

his is 80feet to the base. and at night complety unseen. during the day
it blends in real well as the leaves changes color.when the leaves are gone
it blends in with the tree at a distance. only if your 10-20 feet from it
you can tell what it is. driving past it in a car at 35mph you never notice it
