Here is my current set up: A Cobra Classic 29 LTD with a "102 steel whip antenna. I am going to send my radio to best communications for their 50 watt tune up and plan on adding a 450 watt amp. Will the antenna I have now suffice or do I need to replace it with something else? Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome!

The 102" whip is great, you can't do much better, (especially if you're sitting still). The only draw back with the 102" whip is - it "whips" and bends like crazy going down the road. This will effect your swr and maybe your signal a bit. If you have the funds, I'd definitely go with one of Kale's - Predator 10k antennas, you won't be dissapointed.

Good luck, Hossless

PS, let us know how you like the FGbest 50 watt tune up, and if it measures up.
