I'd like to hear about mixers you have used, but something you ran across and wanted to try may interest me too.

All I want to do is tap into my audio at my EQPlus, and my receive at the phone jack on my 101e. I only need one output for my headphones, but a 2nd output for an occasional watergate would be cool too ........ in fact, why not?

I don't need anything with a preamp, EQ or any bells/whistles, just a mixer.

THIS looks pretty flexible, but it's a little more than I need. Thoughts?

You picked the same mixer I would in that link you posted. It has quality and no frills to do exactly what you want to do. They sell for about ~$45 new too; so the price is right as well.

That's what I thought. It has a few more features than I need, but at that price they'll be there if I ever would want them for any reason.

I went ahead and bought one for $43/shipped. For that it'll at least patch my TX/RX into a set of headphones or recording device, right? And if worse comes to worst and I had to take my EQPlus out of line, it has an XLR input and preamp too.

If using the EQPlus into the mixer; then use the mic/line switch on the mixer and set it on "line". After all - you are coming from a line output source - the EQPlus.

I would sent the RX into a single high-quality 2-way or 3-way speaker. This will help the overall audio quality and de-emphasize the static noise.

If using the EQPlus into the mixer;
Well, the plan is to run the phono out from the EQPlus into the mixer, it won't actually be in the chain. Then the phono out on the 101e into the mixer and patch those into headphones. I figured that would beat hacking a talkback somehow into the 101e. I think that will work.

I received the 502 this AM. It seems well built, not overly heavy, but solid. All of the switches and knobs feel smooth as well. Now to get some cables made up!
