Hi, title says it all- I'm looking for a place that will sell an 'original equipment' mic for a Magnum 257 (the small mic with the buttons on top)..

The goober that sold me the radio put a cheesy cobra mic on it and THREW AWAY the original mic (which is actually a power mike =\) during their time with it...

I did a forum search here and a google search before posting, but no dice =(

Please help! Thanks!

=(

I called RF Limted- Unfortunately they have stopped producing the smaller mic with the buttons on top, so my only option is to find a reseller with one of that style...

They did however take my feedback on their 'buttons-on-the-front' mic... At least its nice to see that they respond to customer feedback..

Are there any vendors out there that might have this item in thier stock?

Heck... Does anyone want to ebay theirs? I'll buy it =)

I put a mic from a Delta Force on mine and it sounds better w/my voice. Less tinny than the original is what others tell me. Plus I like the feel of the bigger mic in my hand.
Those stock mics are a bit small for sure!
And "NO" I don't want to part w/mine as I always keep "everything original" for my rigs.
This is just food for thought. I didn't realize they quit producing the smaller ones.Bummer.
Good Luck.Slim.
