i have a couple questions; 1. does anyone know what tubes go into this amp and where i might find a matched set? 2. does anyone know where i can send the amp to have it gone through to make sure everything is doing what it's supposed to be doing? not too worried about time issues, i'm in iraq thru october. so whoever works on it will have alot of time to tinker with it. any help would be great. thanx.

This amp uses sweep tubes that have been out of production since 1984.Even if you find a set of NOS tubes, you will have Getter them for at 12 hrs before applying HV.

should take 6lq6`s or 6je6c`s .alan at "tubesplus" is very good with tube amps .give him a ring.he has a website.just google tubesplus.

I agree that Alan would be the route to go. He can replace the original 6LQ6 tubes with cheaper, higher filament voltage tubes that will do the same job as them. He is a top notch technician on amps and Browning radios. You will be satisfiied with his work.
