Hello I have a ft100d and the vfo shaft came out of the face. I disassembled the face and removed the vfo encoder/sending unit and disassembled the housing cover and the board inside the housing leaving a clear "splined" plastic refracting disc. I cleaned the old glue off the shaft hole, reinserted the shaft and epoxied it. I reinstalled everything exactly as it came apart with no problems. A sturdy fix BUT... The vfo worked- just backwards.. I need to figure why the vfo increases in frequency counter clockwise and decreases clockwise.
If anyone has some info on this I would appreciate the help, Thanks Eric.

On the encoder there should be four wires, red, black, green, and white. The red and black are power. Leave them alone. The green and white wires are the output from the encoder.Reverse them and it should tune correctly. You may have crossed them up when reassembling the encoder.
