I'm starting this thread in hopes some one knowledgeable will chime in and 1. Help me and 2. Put the info out there because i can't find much.

When designing LPF's for cb frequencies how would i go about figuring out what size wires(cores) to use and how many turns and how widely spread?

I love designing and constructing my own pcbs and learning about what I'm doing. Thanks.

Consider purchasing a LC meter off eBay. This will measure the value of inductance and capacitance for precise adjustment of those coils. They sell for as little as $10 and will be quite helpful in building filters.
