Are you referring to HF rigs that can have the control head mounted separately from the main body? The Yaesu FT-857D can do this also. The upcoming Elecraft KX3 will have a remote mountable 100 watt amp, as well.
The Kenwood TS-480SAT/TS-480HX has a detachable control head too.

It's HF and 6 meters only rather than HF/VHF/UHF like the Icom rigs, but I know a couple of people that use them in their mobile setups and they really like them.

so icom makes 2, kenwood makes 1, yaesu musen makes 2, elecraft makes 1, and alinco makes 1. right?

Also, Alinco made the DX-70 with detachable face.
