Anyone have any dealings with this China semi-conducter manufacturer? They have MRF477 listed for like $6.98 and make some other obsolete transistors. Might be worth a shot to get one and try it out. There web site says they are ISO certified for what that is worth. The data sheet mirrors the Motorola specs.

What was the issue with the one you bought? Making that type transistor is not rocket science, much easier than making a CPU or IC chip. Power transistors should be an easy make. They are not Motorola and don't claim to be but with the price of a Motorola if you can find one for 50 bucks or more 6.98 could be worth it.

I emailed them about minimum orders and you must buy 10 so that shoots that idea out. Free shipping they said but that is 70 bucks worth. I don't want a lifetime supply.

Coax question. I just put up a new Sirio monsoon base antenna with 100’ of rg8u coax testing with myMFJ antenna analyzer shows 1.4 swr at 26.965mhz and a 1.1 at 27.405 mhz . When I checked the ohms it’s steady a 30 ohms across the entire bandwidth.

Is 30 ohms worth worrying about in a 100’ run of rg8u ?
