Has anyone had experience working HO68 the fm repeater sat?, I do have a dual band antenna for 2/440 vertical, not sure if it will work but would give it a try..power no problem..interested to know if anyone has used it.

I have not tried that one yet, but it shows that the VHF/UHF repeater is operational on amsat.org. I'll have to give that one a try. Thanks for the head's up!

Unfortunately they are running FM packet right now according to the schedule at CAMSAT

They have an on/off schedule they run by and it may be in linear translator/packet/FM repeater mode.

It has a good footprint and is easy to hear(FM repeater mode), but it has been a while since it has been in that mode(before Field Day?)

It is in FM repeater mode right hence the FM/PACSAT designation it is in either SSB/CW or FM/PACSAT i worked it last weekend and will do the same this weekend.

It is a great sat with a large footprint i have worked it multiple times with my arrow and HT's
With a vertical you may be able to pick it up but not for long definitely give it a try while It's still in FM mode..Good luck

Then I missed a few good chances with HO-68, they used to list modes of just packet, FM, or linear. It never dawned on me that they would allow packet and voice at the same time. I know there were some complaints from people running packet on HO-68 about voice QRM. Thanks for the info

Yeah it is kind of deceiving the way it's listed. I worked it this morning on the 1850 UTC pass and it was busy and despite some HT problems causing me issues (my transmit HT's battery was dying) i made some contacts.I will be on tomorrows 1830 pass hopefully.

I was on it as well, posted a recording on my web site. Some people must still be trying to do packet as there was a lot of packet transmissions coming through.

I haven't listened to your recording yet, but I heard you on HO-68 and I think you had a contact with KD8KSN and at least one other station that I don't recall. That sat is really busy on a weekend with both voice and packet at the same time

It is busy last Saturday i racked up 10 contacts on one pass it is a fun bird but today i got only 2 contacts.
